Our suicide prevention walk is open to anyone and everyone! Although we will have an in-person walk on September 11th in Madison County, our virtual platform allows all survivors of suicide, suicide loss, and/or supporters of suicide prevention to take part, no matter your location throughout the month of STEPtember!
There are two options to register for STEPtember. If you will be attending the in-person walk on September 11th, fill out the registration form for in-person participants. If you will not be attending the in-person walk, fill out the form for remote participants.
Remember, both remote and in-person particpants are encouraged to get active and donate throughout the entire month of STEPtember!
In order to accommodate every participant's individual limitations, we are accepting of all types of movement! This is including, but is not limited to, walking, running, biking, scootering, and roller blading! Our in-person event, however, will be a walk on the trails of the Great Swamp Conservancy in Canastota, NY.
Participants are encouraged to share their STEPtember activity with other walkers by posting on Facebook and tagging @STEPtemberWalk. Also, particpants who are on a team can log their mileage under the Participant Hub and compete for the #1 spot on our leaderboard! Lastly, you can register for the in-person STEPtember walk on Spetember 11th to meet others supporting suicide prevention in Madison County.
If you do not want to walk but still value the cause, you can make a difference. Using the "donate" button just below on this page, you can make a donation via PayPal. Or, you can send a check payable to: The Madison County Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse and mail to: BRiDGES, PO Box 389, 112 Farrier Ave, Oneida, NY 13421.
100% of donations stay local. Thank you in advance for your support of suicide prevention efforts in Madison County.
